White Papers

The identification and exploration of future security threats to the global information infrastructure is a key goal of the I3P. Just as a nighttime driver of an automobile needs strong headlights to see road hazards soon enough to take action to avoid them, the I3P’s stakeholders in government and industry need to know at the earliest possible moment what security issues the future may bring.

To help identify these future security threats, the I3P invited its member institutions to produce white papers outlining their views on upcoming challenges facing the security and reliability of the global information infrastructure. It is our goal to share these white papers with our stakeholders from industry and government so we can work together to address emerging research challenges before they become imminent threats.

Below you will find links to the I3P white papers that have been produced to date. We intend to produce these forward-looking documents on a regular basis.

I3P white papers:

"The Role of Cyber-Attack Attribution."

"How a Framework for Information Security Law Could Improve Information Security "

"Protecting Global Medical Telemetry Infrastructure"

"Harmonizing and Uniting the Key Technical Desciplines for RIsk Management of Cyber Security"
