Member Profile: The Center for Information Security at the University of Tulsa is a member of the I3P Consortium. The center was established to concentrate institutional research, education and outreach efforts in information assurance and forensics, and was first designated as an NSA Center of Excellence in March 2000. The Center is supervised by its Director, and is comprised of university faculty in computer science and related disciplines pursuing core and multidisciplinary initiatives in information security. Our most active research programs include disruption tolerant networks (DTNs), computer and network forensics, database privacy and information disclosure, and RFID security and privacy. They have deployed a live, working DTN on 40 buses covering 150 square miles around Amherst (http://prisms.cs.umass.edu/dome/). Their DTN efforts would greatly complement the I3P initiative in Process Control Systems. UMass’ research in database privacy and RFID security is of great importance to society, government, defense, industry, and academia and brings a new perspectives to the I3P. UMass leads the multi-institution RFID Consortium for Security and Privacy (www.rfid-cusp.org), whose members have been featured in the New York Times and given dozens of talks to influential decision makers around the world.
