Located in Richland, Washington, Pacific Northwestern National Laboratory (PNNL) is one of nine U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories. In addition to providing expertise in the areas of environmental science, health, and energy, PNNL has a long history of research and development in the areas of information analysis and cyber security. Actively engaged in efforts to prevent and counteract threats to our the information infrastructure, PNNL researchers are developing ways to strengthen the nation’s computing assets. Specifically, the laboratory’s cyber security efforts are focused on: responding to the unforeseen, defending against predicted attacks, and building protections for its internal and external client's computer systems.
